New Year and the Zombie Apocolypse

Last night we rang in the New Year in a hotel bar in Atlanta and engaged in some class A people watching. Today we took an extremely bumpy flight to San Jose Costa Rica. 

The scene at the airport was chaotic. 

We made it to our hotel and settled in, then went for a stroll. The city looks like on a normal day it would be bustling but since it is New Years Day everything was closed and the streets we empty. 

It seemed like a scene out of a movie about the zombie Apocolypse. We did eventually find life in the Town square. 

We then headed back to the hostel. It is not much to look at from the outside and our room is spartan, but the hammocks are lovely. 

Now we and sitting outside, drinking a beer, and enjoying the warm night air.  

Tomorrow we wake before dawn to bus to Torteguero.
