Life in ruins

We got a slow start to the day, knowing that it would be a pretty active one. We wandered out and did some wandering around, found some lunch and gelato. We also took a coffee break in the shade.

We then did a tour of Ancient Rome. I have a ton of pictures. Here are just a few.

Along with Ancient Rome, we also saw the Trevi Fountain. It was a mob scene but we did managed to find a good picture taking spot.

We also went to the Pantheon which is gorgeous. It gives you a good sense of what Ancient Rome would have looked like.

We ended our tour at the fountain of the Four Rivers. It is in a giant public square so we had a marvelous time watching all the people.

We then headed back to the apartment with a brief grocery stop along the way. I began to rain, but fortunately someone remembered to bring an umbrella.

We ate in and watched Roman Holiday. Tomorrow we are planning on spending some time in Vatican City. Ellie wants to eat dinner late like the Italians so it might be a very long day.
